Mika Savola is a Finnish independent arbitrator based in Herzliya, Israel. He specializes in resolving international commercial and investment disputes. Before embarking on his career as a full-time arbitrator in 2018, Mika worked for more than 20 years as attorney, partner and Head of Dispute Resolution at a leading Nordic law firm in Helsinki. An author of a number of publications mainly in the field of arbitration law, Mika is also the former chair of the Finland Arbitration Institute (FAI) and a present member of the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators. He has acted as sole, presiding, party-appointed and emergency arbitrator in close to 100 arbitration proceedings governed by many different arbitration rules and applicable laws.
